Jay,
  Interesting. What happens if you click on the 'vmach.exe' binary
from within a Windows file browser? Does it run? If executing it by
hand doesn't work, then there's no way VMD will work. We need to figure
out why its not running on your machine. Perhaps it would be wise to
try uninstalling and reinstalling it?
