Acknowledging the TCB Group

If you are using our resources, please contact us to tell us of your experience and inform us of the outcome such as complete citations of resulting papers, details on talks, presentation or posters, or any other product that benefitted from our services.

Resource's users and beneficiaries are required to acknowledge Resource support in several ways, depending on the resources used:

  1. When using the Resource's compute power and/or expertise, and/or Resource software for their research/training/other, users are expected to include the following statement in their resulting work:

    "This work was supported by the Theoretical and Computational Biophysics group, an NIH Resource for Macromolecular Modeling and Bioinformatics, at the Beckman Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign."

    If the work is made available online users and beneficiaries are expected to make a link to the Resource web site (http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/)

  2. When using images produced and owned by the Resource, users and beneficiaries are required to include in their resulting work (publication, presentation, etc.) the following statement:

    "This image was made with VMD and is owned by the Theoretical and Computational Biophysics Group, an NIH Resource for Macromolecular Modeling and Bioinformatics, at the Beckman Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign."

    If the image was published in a Resource publication, you are required to get a permission from the Resource, from the publisher and to reference the relevant paper.

    If your publication is made available online you are expected to make the following links to our web site:

    • required link to the original image on our site
    • if the image was published in a Resource publication, required link to the relevant paper
    • optional link to http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/

  3. When using images produced with Resource software (VMD, NAMD, BioCoRE, JMV, other), users and beneficiaries are required to include in their resulting work (publication, presentation, etc.) the following statement:

    "This image was made with VMD/NAMD/BioCoRE/JMV/other software support. VMD/NAMD/BioCoRE/JMV/ is developed with NIH support by the Theoretical and Computational Biophysics group at the Beckman Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign."

    If the image was published in a Resource publication, you are required to get a permission from the Resource, from the publisher and to reference the relevant paper.

    If the publication is made available online you are expected to make the following links to our web site:

    • required link to the original image on our site
    • required link to VMD/NAMD/other relevant Resource software pages
    • if the image was published in a Resource publication, required link to the relevant paper
    • optional link to http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/
