Hi,
  When you loaded the trajectory, did you select "load all at once",
or not? If you can tell me more precisely the steps you took, that may
make it easier for me to resolve the problem you are having. Another thing
to try is to see if you have this problem with one of the latest VMD 1.9.2
test versions, available by following the steps here:
  http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/alpha/
