I have VMD preinstalled on my ubuntu 8.10
The system is administrator governed.

I was able to use VMD properly earlier. But yesterday I logged out and
logged in again the system.
Since then, I am not able to launch VMD.
when I write command vmd
what all happens is:
some number like:
[1] 20308
is printed on the terminal.
I see a view of vmd window which immediately disappears.
I asked the administrator , but he is kind of busy.
Can some body help me sort it out and let vmd again begin!
