Hi,
The "residue" command is part of the psfgen plugin, not VMD itself.
You didn't specify what you tried previously nor the error messages,
if any, that you got. The psfgen manual's description of the command
seems pretty straightforward. Perhaps if you provide more information
someone can give you more assistance.
