Dear VMD community,
I am running Scientific Linux SL release 5.4 (Boron). I am trying to install
VMD but I am having some problems. I have run the "./configure" command, and
get:
using configure.options: LINUXAMD64 OPENGL FLTK TK ACTC CUDA IMD LIBSBALL
XINPUT LIBTACHYON VRPN NETCDF TCL PYTHON PTHREADS NUMPY SILENT
then I run "make install" and I get the following:
/bin/sh: line 9: run_vmd_tmp: Permission denied
/bin/sh: line 10: run_vmd_tmp: Permission denied
/bin/sh: line 11: run_vmd_tmp: Permission denied
/bin/sh: line 12: run_vmd_tmp: Permission denied
chmod: cannot access `run_vmd_tmp': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat `run_vmd_tmp': No such file or directory
Make sure /usr/local/bin/vmd is in your path.
VMD installation complete. Enjoy!
In fact there is no file vmd under /usr/local/bin/. Any idea what is going
on??
Thanks in advance
Adil Mughal
