Hello, I an trying to install VMD 1.8.6 on openSUSE10.3. I have installed Nvidia driver, tools and SDK for CUDA 2.0. All of their SDK projects compile and run with no problems. Am I correct in assuming that this means I have openGL runtime libraries and X server extensions correctly installed? If not, how do I check this? My knowledge of openGL and X is virtually nill. The 1.8.6 release note mention some problems with SELINUX and SCIM. I never enabled SELINUX and, according to YAST the SCIM packages are not installed.

The precompiled binaries do not run:
