Dear Cesar,
  I've posted a new Tachyon archive for you to try out. Its
not a fully-tested version, as I'm still finishing a few things
related to new camera features such as depth of field,
explicit frustum controls, etc. Its more than good enough for
doing some experimenting with getting MPI renders to work with VMD
however, so please give it a shot and let me know how it works
for you. I'm working on updating the Tachyon docs and some other
things, when I get done with that stuff and get feedback from a few
people that are testing this new code, I'll post a new official binary
and upgrade the version we use in VMD.
