  Thanks for your kind help.

This method works but there might be a bug somewhere because I have to go to
"Graphical Representations" menu to push the bottom of "Apply Changes
Automatically" after I run my script.

It seems that VMD could not dynamically update the color scheme or I
might miss some commands.

Is there any command to update this multiple colorings when I use the surf
representation ?

Also, how do we "correctly" assign the "specific" color to the subselection------=_Part_2131_18432094.1142402583965--
