I can open the xterm from within the same shell, and vmd console opens
when I type "vmd" in my shell. Then it gives this text and closes xterm.
About DISPLAY: I've got this from my bash:
> echo $DISPLAY
:0
When I try to type echo $DISPLAY in text mode of vmd, it says " can't
read "display": no such variable"
