Hi,
I've posted VMD 1.9.4 alpha 8 on the public download page.
This version incorporates the first support for NVIDIA Volta GPUs
with VMD's CUDA kernels and the TachyonL-OptiX ray tracing engine,
incorporates the latest version of the Intel OSPRay CPU ray tracing engine
(TachyonL-OSPray) and includes a number of improvements and bug fixes,
for the VMD interface to NanoShaper, and for various plugins, including
qwikmd, psfgen, catdcd, and others.
A list of recent updates is posted here:
http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/vmd-new/devel.html
Those VMD users with NVIDIA GPUs may need to install up-to-date
GPU drivers in order to be able to run the latest VMD test version
since it is based on CUDA 9.
I expect to make Windows builds available in the near future after
we complete some other plugin updates to fix issues on Windows.
Best regards,
John Stone
