Sorry for coming back only now. Yes, John Stone's solution ".... use the
"system properties" settings from "My computer" and then click
on the "environment variables" button to add a new
VMDTMPDIR variable for your user account" worked fine. I now
have plenty of temporary storage but another problem when
making a surface representation. I've posted that under "Surface -
upper limit for number of coordinates?" Thanx again for the hint!
