Hi,
  You must specify the target architecture as the first parameter.
Look at the examples provided in the online documentation, or the
standard parameters used for various architectures in vmd/Makefile
as examples. For 64-bit Linux, we would normally use these
parameters, but you can choose to cut these down to a subset:
  LINUXAMD64 OPENGL OPENGLPBUFFER FLTK TK ACTC CUDA IMD LIBSBALL XINERAMA XINPUT LIBOPTIX LIBOSPRAY LIBTACHYON VRPN NETCDF COLVARS TCL PYTHON PTHREADS NUMPY SILENT ICC
