Hi!

thank you for your advice. I finally managed to install linux 2.6.3 with
the radeon driver and now VMD gets its color back. I didn't install
driver from ati or dell websites, just kept the xfree 4.3.0 from debian
unstable, althought it seems the radeon driver is been used.
