Right. If you tried running with ./configure LINUX instead of
./configure LINUXAMD64, it won't install properly (as you found out
earlier). LINUX is for the 32-bit linux builds (which you don't want),
but LINUXAMD64 is for the most standard 64-bit linux build (which you
do). Read the README carefully, that's where this is all explained.
