Hi,
  I think I have tracked down the issue with this error you're getting.
I assume you're running VMD on a normal machine and not within a virtual machine
of some kind. That being the case, the most likely cause is a Microsoft compiler
optimization that can break code under certain circumstances. Here's what the
MSDN docs say about it:

I'll see about modifying the affected plugins with an added floating point
assignment operation to prevent this from happening.
