Hi,

I created two patches against today's CVS which adds render support to png and
ppm files. The png support requires libpng. There are two bugs that i know of
so far.
1) rendering to png seems to crash every once and a while (VMD stays running
though)
2) VMD calls the render function multiple times.

Let me know if there are any questions/problems.
