Hi,
I've posted a test build for you (marked intelc in the name)
on our BioCoRE server, accessible in the "alpha" directory of
the VMD Public project described here:
  http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/alpha/

Give it a spin and let me know if you need anything else.
That version has both CUDA and the Intel C compiler enabled.
You can force VMD to use the CPU only, by setting the environment
variable "VMDNOCUDA" to 1, either prior to starting VMD, or from
within the VMD command shell with "set env(VMDNOCUDA) 1"

Cheers,
  John Stone
