Hi,

 

      I downloaded and am using VMD version 1.8.6.

The steps I used to install VMD were:

 

Within the VMD plugin directory

 

      Exclude netcdf from the Make-arch script

 

      1. gmake SOLARISX86

      2. TCLLIB=/usr/local/lib/libtcl8.4.so

 

Within the VMD installation directory

 

      3. Set PLUGINDIR=/export/home/vmd/plugins/compile/lib_SOLARISX86/

            molfile; export PATH

 

      4. gmake distrib

 

      5. gmake install
