Hi Francesco,
if you are up to depicting multiple complex representations of your
protein of interest by just using a button control, as it is done in
Chime, you can do this by implementing code for button control in your
vmd-scripts. The controls are easier to implement compared to chime.

There are multiple examples given, and also a short pdf manual how to
implement new presentations.
I am not sure if you can use this from within a browser, I have to take
a look into, what John has written in his answer.
