Hi,
  You can either add the netcdf libraries vmd/lib/netcdf,
or you can edit Make-arch and remove the NETCDFLDFLAGS -lnetcdf line
for LINUXAMD64. I'll be improving this behavior for the next version
when I get a chance to work on it.
