Well, you’d need at least a passive 3D monitor and use VMDs “Row Interleaved” Stereo mode, works perfectly nice for me.

Betreff: vmd-l: Affordable 3D stereo.

Dear vmd comunity,

I was wondering if there is any chance to see vmd with 3D stereo (what is normally know as 3D as in films and such) at a low price. I do not really need it for my research it just sounds amazing. So I cannot really spend 100$ on it. I have normal to good NVIDIA cards , normal computer screens and I use linux.

If I need special hardware or glasses could anybody point me in the right direction? I did try anaglyph but the image was very dark and hard to see, perhaps my glasses were not transparent enough.

Thank you very much!
