Looking at the c31a2 (latest developmental release) code, I can see
TESTENDIAN being used only for reading trajectories, which seems
logical to me - writting is done in the native endianism of the
machine where CHARMM is run. So, I don't quite understand how reading
trajectories in CHARMM with TESTENDIAN would influence the results of
VMD reading the same trajectories...
