Hi,
If you're running the original VMD 1.8 release (i.e. not 1.8.1 or 1.8.2)
you'll need to upgrade to one of the new versions as we fixed some bugs
over the last year that probably relate to what you're experiencing.
If you're running 1.8.1 or 1.8.2, send me the startup messages from the
VMD text console and I'll see if I can suggest something.
Thanks,
John Stone
