This is a pertinent question.

Indeed several plug-ins have been developed and there is no place where they can be found ?
This could be changed in order to improve the VMD community.

Hi all,

does anybody know how to contribute to VMD? I have found several minor bugs in last years, but I never report them since I never find out how to do so. I haven't found any document about contribution other than sparse notes in FAQ.

I'd like to know
 * How do I find if bug was already reported?
 * How to report bug?
 * How to check that my fix didn't break anything else? Are there any tests available?
 * How to share a patch?
 * Is there any official repository with VMD source code in git or other modern VCS?

Thanks in advance
Vlastik
