Hello Jonh:
I finally find where is the problem. My system is a 64 bit Linux OS
and I compiled taychon by command
make linux
which is for 32 bit LInux.
I recompiled it by command: make ia-64
and finally my VMD compiled successfully.
thanks again for such kind helps these days.
best
Albert
