Dear VMD-L,
  I've just posted VMD 1.9 beta 2 for download.
Nearly all of the supported target platforms are
covered in this beta, including some of the specialty
text-mode-only builds for HPC clusters and supercomputers.
 
Beta 2 is nearly feature-complete, with just a few
remaining items expected to be updated before release.
                                                                               
If you have trouble downloading, installing, or running
the beta versions, please let me know so we can resolve
any lingering issues before the final release.

The release notes and documentation for this beta version
are posted here and will be updated as I close in on the
final release:
