Hi!

As Jani already stated, it might be useful to read a basic book on
Linux/Unix.

After installation, the installation told you "Make sure
/home/neelanjana/vmd-install/vmd is in your path.". This mean that you
should see to it that the directory /home/neelanjana/vmd-install/ is in
your environment variable PATH, so that it can be called from anywhere.
You can do this in most systems by modifying the file ~/.bashrc or
~/.cshrc accordingly. Look for a line containing the word "path".

Anyway, it should also be possible to run VMD by calling

        /home/neelanjana/vmd-install/vmd

from a shell in any directory.

If that doesn't work, please tell us the exact error message that you get.
