Hello,

I am trying to build vmd 1.8.7 from sources on CentOS-5 x86_64.

1) CentOS provided:
tcl-8.4.13-4.el5.x86_64
tk-8.4.13-5.el5_1.1.x86_64

2) additionnal self compiled:
python 2.5.4 (NOT replacing the system python 2.4)
fftw 3.1.3
tachyon 0.98.7
fltk 1.1.10rc3
netcdf 3.6.3

3) configure.options:
LINUXAMD64 OPENGL FLTK TK IMD XINPUT LIBTACHYON NETCDF TCL PYTHON PTHREADS NUMPY SILENT

links for includes and lib_LINUXAMD64 added in lib for these additional packages.

4) building plugins and vmd seems to be ok while running I get (from an ssh -X session)

5) the embedded python seems to work fine:
