Hi,
I just wanted to summarize our discussions tonight for VMD-L,
at present the Windows version of VMD doesn't support MSMS, due to
incompatible MSMS-specific networking code that we still have to
rewrite. Beyond this, some quick testing tonight by an avid VMD
user/contributor, Laurence Wood, indicated that the Windows MSMS
doesn't support the server/socket mode of operation used by VMD.
We (and many users) are interested in seeing this get fixed, so we'll
pursue it as soon as time allows. (time has been precious here recently)
I'm going to go ahead and list this as a limitation of the Windows
version of VMD on the bug database, so that it doesn't slip from
our attention, it will get a PR number and be listed in the VMD
README files when it is fixed.

Thanks,
  John
