1) Add the directory namd2 is in to your path in your ~/.bashrc file
and then type at the command line "source ~/.bashrc".

PATH=$PATH:/directory_with_namd2

or use an alias in the same file ( alias namd2='/path_to_namd2' ).

2) There's really no other output in the log file? Usually, namd
will say what caused the fatal error.
