JMV, VMD, and BioCoRE at Siggraph 2002
Siggraph 2002 Demonstrations
- JMV:
JMV is a molecular viewer component written in Java and Java3D
that can be integrated within other Java programs. JMV implements
several molecular representation and coloring modes, session saving,
sterescopic display, and an easy-to-use interface. JMV will be shown
running within a web browser, as a standalone application, and as a
component within BioCoRE.
- VMD:
VMD is a molecular visualization and analysis tool based on OpenGL
and FLTK, with built-in Tcl and Python scripting. The demos will
showcase pre-release versions of VMD 1.8, the upcoming major
release of VMD. We will highlight VMD's interactive visualization and
animation features as well as plugin analysis tools and interactive
simulations.
- BioCoRE: We will demonstrate BioCoRE collaboration features within JMV and VMD. We plan to demonstrate the BioCoRE notebook, control panel, chat feature, and show how JMV and VMD can interact with files on the BioCoRE filesystem.
