Computational Biophysics Workshop at Urbana

Beckman Institute
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
October 17-21, 2016

The Center held a five-day workshop on Computational Biophysics at the Beckman Institute in Urbana, IL. The 26 participants were introduced to a range of topics related to molecular dynamics simulations and biomolecular visualization and received instruction in the use of NAMD, QwikMD, VMD, ffTK, and MDFF. Notably, the workshop featured a new live-demo presentation for image rendering in VMD, as well as a showcase of VMD's capability to produce 3D-immersive movies, with each participant enjoying a private "virtual reality tour" of the HIV capsid.
