The Theoretical and Computational Biophysics Group (TCBG, www.ks.uiuc.edu) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in scientific computing, specifically in visual molecular dynamics.
The position involves further development of TCBG’s Visual Molecular Dynamics (VMD) program (see www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd).
Requirements: A doctoral degree in the biological or physical sciences or in computer science, and three years of experience in programming in C/C++ on a Unix platform are required for the position.
Preferences: Experience with Tcl/Tk, POSIX Threads, OpenMP, MPI, CUDA, scientific visualization, OpenGL, Python are preferred qualities in those seeking to work with VMD.
The postdoctoral position is a 100% full-time, benefits-eligible academic position with the University of Illinois. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States and salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
