You can control this on most platforms, either by setting
environment variables on Unix, or by adding "display resize"
and "display reposition" commands to your local or global
.vmdrc or vmd.rc startup files. See the VMD User's Guide for
more details about these things. If you tell us more about your
target platform, we could provide better suggestions.
