The role of molecular modeling in bionanotechnology

Bionanotechnology can benefit very much from molecular modeling which provides a powerful imaging method revealing structure and dynamics of nanoscale systems like nanotubes interacting with biomolecules, re-engineered biopolymer systems, or synthetic nanopores for single molecule electrical recording. Since other versatile imaging methods do not really exist for nanodevice engineers, molecular modeling can step in. This point is made in the publication below which focuses on the three examples stated.
