Hi,
I unpacked the tar.gz file, edited and run the configure script as a regular
user.
Then I did "su" to gain root access, "cd" to src and run "make install".
The owner of the new files in $install_library_dir is root, except for the
directories plugins and scripts (and files therein), that are owned by the
regular user.
It is necessary to "chown -R root.sys plugins scripts" to change files to the
correct ownership.
I am using IRIX 6.5 and VMD 1.7.1 and 1.8.vmd 1.8a10.
Do you think there is a bug in instation process?
