Hi,
  You probably still need a script to setup the dynamic linkage stuff
correctly as I recall. Regarding remote batch mode access, it depends
greatly on which version of MacOS X you're running. I think some revs
always yielded errors, like the one you've posted, but others worked fine.
In any case, if you really want a text-only VMD, it's easy to compile one
from the source code, disabling all of the graphics features (smaller too!).
Let me know if you need more help with that.
