Is it possible to remotely run "vmd -dispdev text -e script.tcl" (to
run scripts in batch mode) on Mac OS X?

I found a post that dates back to 2003, do you still need a script so that
your VMD starts up correctly and finds its dynamic link libraries? if
so, where can i get that script?

I'm getting the following error...

% vmd_MACOSX -dispdev text
kCGErrorRangeCheck : Window Server communications from outside of
session allowed for root and console user only
INIT_Processeses(), could not establish the default connection to the
WindowServer.Abort
