Tristan,
  It looks like 3D Systems bought up Geomagic (who bought Sensable),
so these are likely a new less expensive variant of the old
Sensable 'Phantom Omni' hardware that we have had here for some time.
If they are selling for $500 and have a device comparable to the old
'Phantom Omni', that would be really great. The remaining issue will
be software APIs. I'm hoping that they have cleaned things up so it's
less of an arduous task to get things working with VRPN and VMD...
