Hi VMD users,

I just downloaded vmd 1.8.7 and can not even start it on my system.
It aborted at very early stage, so very little information can be
achieved here.

    My system:
                                CPU: AMD Athlon XP5000+
                                RAM: 2GB
                                Running Windows XP SP3
Video card: nVidia Geforce 9500 GT, 512MB
RAM + Driver version (2009-11-20, 6.14.11.9562)

I tried vmd 1.8.7CUDA/1.8.7/1.8.6, none of them worked.

All these three have the same symptom, the first cmd window flashed and
faded away very quick. If typed in cmd window to start,
either it accepted the command without any response(no output), or just
output the copyright information:

and then exit, the graphics rendering windows was never started.

If typed in "vmd -debug", still the same symptom.

No idea about how to solve this problem. If you need more information to
diagnose, please point it out, thanks!
