I flipped it on and off and looked for multiple Composite lines
but even with
  Option "Composite" "off"
VMd still complains about a
Warning) Detected X11 'Composite' extension: if incorrect display
occurs
Warning) try disabling this optional X server feature.

FYI it currently states:
ade 105% grep -i compo /etc/X11/xorg.conf
  Option "Composite" "off"
ade 106% ls -lta /dev/nvidia*

So I added myself to the video group... HOweever, I think even if
> chmod 666 /dev/nvidia*
gets reset at login

NOTE that on a remote display I still have root working fine and user
bishop not working w/ the same message as if at the console.
