Dear Brendan,
  Please email me both your vrpn.cfg file and the .vmdsensors file
and we'll be better able to help you with the problem you're encountering.
It seems that VMD doesn't like something in your .vmdsensors file, but
in order to narrow it down, we'd like to see the whole file.
