Hai everybody,

I am trying to install VMD in my kubuntu which is having ubuntu
kernel. It seems that kubuntu doesn't have make command, instead it is
having makeg.(If it is there please let me know ).

When I am trying to run the script file, I got the following,

root_at_Newton:/home/russell/vmd/vmd-1.8.5# ./configure
using configure.options: LINUXAMD64 OPENGL FLTK TK ACTC IMD SPACEBALL
LIBTACHYON VRPN NETCDF TCL PYTHON PTHREADS NUMPY SILENT

After that, as per the instruction given in the README file I moved to
the src directory. There I found the followings,

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1135 2006-08-30 16:51 config.h
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 2006-08-29 09:21 Makedata.depend
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 13443 2006-08-30 16:51 Makefile
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 199 2006-08-29 09:21 Makefile.swig

Then I tried to make. But I got the following,

bash: make: command not found

I do not know what to do after this. It would be very helpful , if
somebody could help me in this.

        Thanks a lot in advance.
