Hi,
I had some problems with VMD in windows 64 bit OS(INTEL XEON)
especially when I'd like to change representation from lines
to whatever eg van der Waals.
I noticed also that in Athlon/Linux systems
other users reported similar issues in VMD-list

Installing the latest driver version of NVIDIA quatro (77.56 for 64 os)
resolved the problem and everything works fine

The problem also was resolved for PYMOL that there
the issue wasn't with the representation
but double clicking on the image or the protein produced runtime errors.
