I tried to run the vmd 1.8.3 on 10.2.8 OS X, but got an error from dyld
that vmd cannot open library /usr/lib/libmx.A.dylib. This library does
not exist indeed on 10.2.8. My guess is the binary for OS X was compiled
with gcc higher than 3.3, which makes the executable incompatible with the
old 10.2.8 OS version.

Does anyone know a work around?

Any advice will be appreciated.
