hi all,
i want to compile vmd from source to have it more optimized for my
system (AMD64, Debian Linux) and also to test some things. i wasn't very
succesful - compilation fails almost at the beginning of the plugin
build process, namely:
gcc: cannot specify -o with -c or -S and multiple compilations
make[2]: *** [../compile/lib_LINUXAMD64/molfile/webpdbplugin.o] Error 1
i tried with stock 1.8.3 sources from VMD website and also with sources
from CVS.
should -o or -c be omitted?
i would be very grateful if anyone of you could point me in the right
direction...
best regards,
lubos
