Christian,
I don't believe that the StereoGraphics emitter can do
"line-blanked" or "scanline interleaved" stereo, so it won't work
with VMD on a Mac. The Mac (as yet) only does full screen stereo
when used with StereoGraphics emitters, which won't work with VMD.
VMD needs windowed frame-sequential stereo, since it uses numerous
windows for the rest of the GUI. Until Apple implements windowed
stereo, your only real option for stereo on a Mac is to use one
of the Eye3D 4-in-1 stereo emitters that supports line blanking.
As far as I know there's nothing hardware related preventing
Apple from supporting windowed stereo, but I believe they are somewhat
behind in their OpenGL driver implementation in this regard.
