Hi all,

I am trying to connect the Phantom device to VMD using the VRPN server on windows 2000. My phantom is connected to the same machine on which the vrpn_server is running. When I choose the phantomtracker option from the VMD Tools Menu, I get the following error in the VMD console window :

"VRPN Warning <3> from Phantom: no response from server for >=3 seconds"

Here is my .vmdsensors file:

The hostname of the machine on which the vrpn server is running is SOLARIS and the case for the word Phantom is same in both the .vmdsensors and vrpn configuration files. I have checked the vrpn-phantom connection using the sphere_client program(distributed with VRPN) and it works fine with it.

So, in short I have been able to connect the phantom to the machine with vrpn but not through VMD.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can help me with this.
