Hi,
  The mailing list software blocks messages with attacments larger
than an equivalent of 40,000 lines of text. Basically, if it's large
enough to think about at all, it's too large for the mailing list.
Best practices for anything beyond a tiny attachment are to post
a URL for a web download, Google Drive, Box, or similar alternative
so that the vast majority of the 1500 VMD-L mailing list subscribers
not specifically interested in the attachment aren't having it clog
their inboxes.
